What does SayWire do?

Can I use SayWire to prompt Claude Code, Cursor or Codex?
Yes. Click into your terminal or editor on the Mac, raise your wrist, and say "Send with SayWire" followed by your prompt. The text is pasted where your cursor is, so you can keep an eye on your agent while you talk from across the room or the coffee line.
Does SayWire need an account or a subscription?
No account and no subscription. You download SayWire for free and get a 14-day trial with everything included. After that, a single one-time purchase of 149 kr (about 12 US dollars) unlocks sending from your iPhone and Apple Watch for good. The Mac app is always free.
Is my dictation private?
SayWire uses Apple dictation on your device. When your iPhone and Mac share a Wi-Fi network, text goes straight to your Mac. Otherwise it travels through our small cloud relay, end-to-end encrypted, so neither we nor our hosting provider can read it. Nothing is stored after delivery.
Does it work on café or guest Wi-Fi?
Yes. Many café and guest networks block devices from talking to each other. When that happens, SayWire automatically switches to its encrypted cloud relay, so your text still reaches your Mac in a second or two. You can also choose Local only or Cloud only in settings.
Can my Mac start dictation on my Apple Watch?
Yes. Press Control, Option, Command and D on your Mac to ask your Watch to start dictation. Apple only lets apps use the microphone after a tap on the Watch, so you confirm with one tap, speak, and the text lands on your Mac.
What do I need to use SayWire?
An iPhone with iOS 18 or later, a Mac with macOS 14 or later, and optionally an Apple Watch with watchOS 11 or later. The iPhone and Watch apps come from the App Store, and the Mac app is a free download from this website.
